Student assistant for Danfoss Corporate M&A, Technology Investments & Acquisitions

At our office in Copenhagen, we seek a talented student for the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) department. Together with a team of dynamic colleagues, you will be involved in M&A advisory and project related tasks with a special focus on Technology Investments and Acquisitions.
The position will support top management decisions providing the right candidate with valuable experience in working with M&A, technology investments and business strategy from a corporate perspective in one of Denmark’s largest companies.

The job
You will get the opportunity to take part in a variety of tasks and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Source and analyze companies according to specific investment themes
  • Conduct valuations, develop deal structures and financial modelling
  • Participate in due diligence of companies and support preparation of mandate presentations
  • Support reporting and follow-up of business plans of portfolio companies
  • Contribute and participate in cross-functional and corporate development projects
  • Conduct ad-hoc support, i.e. M&A strategic theme determination, M&A Road Map candidate evaluation etc.

Your qualifications
Preferably you are in the process of completing a bachelor or have just embarked on your master’s degree within either business/finance or engineering with a commercial focus with top tier results within the required fields. Furthermore, you:

  • have solid analytical skills, with a structured approach to problem solving
  • have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • have experience from a similar job function
  • are proactive and able to work independently as well as a in teams
  • can ensure high-quality deliverables on time

To succeed in this role, you have a strong business oriented and financial mindset, being able to understand strategic requirements. Furthermore, you are a quick learner and have good English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
As our preferred candidate, you can work independently on the tasks given to you and are willing to take on various kinds of challenges – strategic, operational as well as practical tasks. Experience with valuations and other prior business experience is an advantage. Work load of average 15-20 hours a week expected, with flexibility in exam periods. At peak periods, you should be able to work flexible hours.
