Are you eager to try out your talent and ambitions developing innovative processes in Novozymes Fermentation Pilot Plant?

We enable innovation to the market by developing enzyme process suitable for large scale industrial biotech production. You will apply your science background on fermentation process development, including process scale-up and technology transfer to our production sites around the world. You will drive results on your own and together with other highly skilled scientists and technicians.

Welcome to Fermentation Development
The department has a very large fermentation pilot facility located in Bagsvaerd, Copenhagen. The products handled by the department include a large variety of industrial enzymes, e.g. for Household Care, Biofuel and Food & Feed applications and we are currently upgrading our pilot so we are also able to handle microbial sample production. For the right candidate, the job can potentially be a solid step towards a science based future career within project and/or line management.

To keep meeting our business targets in a dynamic environment, people development is a focus area in the daily work for all Zymers as well as continuous improvement of the way we work. Working in an agile team setup, interaction with other departments is very strong, using both shared projects and actual job rotations to other departments/functions to foster cooperation and business understanding.

To succeed you must hold:

• A MSc degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering or similar, preferentially combined with a PhD
• Theoretical and hands on knowledge of fermentation processes and microbial physiology
• Experience with datadriven decision making and familiar with programming language such as Python/Matlab/R
• Excellent skills in English (written and spoken). Applicants are expected to be well founded in Danish or willing to learn it
• You can apply your strong scientific background to create results, both on your own and in collaboration with others
