The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) is a young organization with a mission to develop evidence-based solutions to mitigate antimicrobial resistance in low- and middle-income countries. ICARS is a self-governing organization with projects on several continents. ICARS has a diverse group of staff members composed of 15 different nationalities.

About the position
As our student assistant you will join ICARS Operation Team, where you will assist us solve administrative, practical and academic assignments. Your assignments will vary from week to week. You will solve tasks such as:

  • Support with Grant Agreements
  • Assist Executive Assistant
  • Support ICARS staff with a number of HR functions like producing intro programs for new staff, troubleshooting with registration of work hours, assisting international staff changing address or doctor etc.
  • Introducing new staff to time registration and archiving
  • Responsibility for ICARS' email account for external inquiries
  • Support setting up workstations for new staff and assist staff in overcoming technical challenges
  • Support the team with archiving
  • Organising meetings and travels
  • Different ad hoc tasks

Your background and experience
In order to become our new student assistant, you must be enrolled at a university in the proximity of Copenhagen.

To succeed in this position, you must, be structured, independent, good at cooperating interdisciplinary, have IT skills and be service-minded.

It is a requirement that you have proficiency in both Danish and English (verbally and in writing). We are many different nationalities and English is our working language, so it is important that you feel comfortable speaking and writing in English.

You will be part of a growing team that is developing the scientific and organizational foundation of ICARS. We are currently based at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the terms of the collective agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation of Public Employees (OAO-S-Fællesoverenskomsten) and the organizational agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation for Salaried Employees HK/Stat (Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK)), according to chapter 6 in the agreement concerning hourly paid employees.

This is a part-time position of approximately 15 hours per week. The hours are flexible and exam periods can be taken into consideration.
