Academy Project: Membrane Application Intern in Deep Tech

Our nature-inspired Aquaporin Inside® technology is at the heart of all our products. Its uniqueness stems from three disciplines from the world of natural sciences: biology, chemistry, and physics. The Open Innovation focuses on the development of key applications for the future.

Objective

The objective of this internship/project is to assist in the application testing of our new type of loose NF membranes.

Tasks

  1. Literature review on loose NF membrane applications.
  2. Experimental part will be focused on:
    • Evaluation of membrane performance
    • Investigating impact of different feed solutions on the membrane performance
    • Sample analysis
  3. Final data evaluation, presentation of results and writing of report.

Student Opportunities

This project will be a hands-on project which will give the student the opportunity to investigate and understand capabilities of our prototype loose NF membrane on membrane application part. With this project the student will strengthen both experimental skills as well as data analysis, results reporting and presentation skills. Moreover, the student will be part of a dynamic company, participate in meetings and receive valuable feedback.

Who are you?

You are an ambitious student who is motivated and dares to ask the questions. You have a ‘can-do’ attitude and desire to learn new skills. As a person, you are curious, inclusive and value diversity. Preferably with technical background and basic knowledge of membrane separation processes.
