HR Specialist, Total Rewards



Are you interested in working with Total Rewards in a global environment? We have an open position as Specialist in our Total Rewards team and you could be our next teammate working with compensation processes.

You will become part of a diverse team of Total Rewards colleagues from all over the world, who support all areas of the business in more than 50 countries. The Total Rewards team is setting strategies as well as driving implementation and maintenance of incentive programs, performance management, salary reviews, positioning, benefits and global mobility solutions.

Compensation within Total Rewards
We are looking for an HR Specialist to support global compensation processes such as annual salary processes, short term incentives and pay for performance analysis. You will be a part of a team that works with HR Business Partners and Regional/Local HR Operations around the globe to set direction in Total Reward strategies and supporting the execution of salary and performance processes.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Understand and analyze data in supporting compensation processes, including salary processes, short term incentive, and pay for performance analysis. Tasks within these areas include downloading data from the HRIS database, creating reports and using pivot tables in excel to analyze data and prepare data results, as well as create presentations and support materials
  • Work in the HRIS database and talent management systems
  • Assist the Total Rewards Team in general, where needed

Required education and work experience:

  • Masters or other advanced degree in Economics, Business or HR
  • One to two years business experience, preferably within Finance or HR. You might also be newly graduated with relevant experience as a student worker
  • Passion for HR, HRIS database and cloud systems, numbers and processes, and change management

Specific knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to collect, compare and analyze input in order to prepare and present solutions
  • Ability to understand and work with data in Excel
  • Interest and understanding of database systems (such as SAP) and talent management cloud solutions
  • Flair for thinking out of the box
  • Ability and courage to challenge existing solutions, strategies and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as conceptual planning skills
  • Ability to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation

Your development:
Our intention with this position is to gradually develop your skills within compensation as well as other Total Rewards areas. We anticipate your development will follow the below path:

  • You will start out by being trained within core compensation areas, while participating in ongoing analysis and project support
  • You will during the initial phase be introduced to the working areas and strategies for the other Total Rewards areas
  • You don’t necessarily need to have experience with databases and Excel, but we expect that you have experience in a similar application and an interest in learning these areas and a passion for numbers

Gradually, we expect you to take more and more responsibility:

  • Taking more lead on ongoing analysis and support of salary processes
  • Become an expert in using database and talent management solution
  • Analyze data and make recommendations, considering the relationship between data and Danfoss and Total Rewards strategies
  • Act as sparring partner within salary processes in relation to solutions and changes
  • Learn and perform change management and stakeholder management
  • Proactively take contact to HR in Danfoss entities worldwide
  • Taking the role as leader of projects
  • Proactively start suggesting changes in strategies and finding new strategic focus areas
  • Have daily responsibility within some areas
  • As part of this development get more knowledge and possibility to support within other Total Rewards areas

We don’t expect this position to be entry level for very long; we want to develop you and cross train in other Total Rewards areas, giving you the opportunity to participate in planned and ad hoc projects that may include other areas of HR and the business. Therefore, the ideal working location is at our Headquarters in Nordborg, where you will have the opportunity to work and network, as well as participate in meetings and projects with other areas of the business.
