Communication Intern

Are you seeking a career in communications? Do you already have top-notch writing skills? Are you curious by nature? And do you want to work in a large and sometimes complex organization? Then you may be the very intern we are looking for in our communications team here at one of Denmark’s largest IT companies.

Our highly competent student assistant and former intern is graduating soon, so we are looking for a replacement. If you can answer the above questions in the affirmative, then we would like to encourage you to apply for the communications intern position here at KMD.

About us

KMD’s Communications Department is responsible for the organization’s external and internal communications. As an intern, you will have good opportunities to develop your competencies in working with internal communications and the news we post on our intranet. You will be part of the editorial staff and in charge of managing your own specific stories from start to finish.

Among other things, you will have the opportunity to:

• Do specific work on the production of articles, images and videos.
• Advise other departments about internal central communications.
• Manage your own communications projects/campaigns.
• Assist with and learn about professional work in other areas such as social media and media relations.

About you

We are looking for someone who is taking their master’s degree in communications, media science, journalism or a similar field.

• You have a keen interest in working with communications and how they are used to support business objectives.
• You already have good writing skills and an eye for good stories.
• You are curious by nature and find it exciting speaking with different kinds of people.
• You have a twinkle in your eye and a good sense of humor.

You must be fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.

Your opportunities

We work in a professional – and enjoyable – communications environment where you will have ample opportunity to learn a lot during your internship. You will be given the chance to test your theoretical knowledge in practice, get continual feedback and enhance your specific skills in the field of communications.
You will join our communications team consisting of the Head of Communications, two Communications Partners, a Communications Consultant, a Press Consultant and a Language Service Manager.

The Communications Department is part of the Strategy, Technology and Communication (STC) unit at KMD, which comprises around 40 competent and friendly people. STC supports the top management and business areas at KMD with business development and strategy, technology forecasts and utilization, marketing, internal and external communications, public affairs, CSR and other matters.

The internship will be a part of a Strategy, Technology and Communication intern program.

The internship will last for approximately 4-5 months starting from September 2018, and we expect you to work here around 25 hours per week. The internship is unpaid, but we aim to offer the possibility of holding a student job in the department at the same time.

The internship will be in Lautrupparken in Ballerup, where KMD’s HQ is located. It is relatively easy to get to via public transport (an S-train goes to Malmparken and there are also a number of bus routes).

Do you want to know more?

If you have any questions about the internship, you are welcome to contact VP Christoffer Hellman, Head of Communications, by calling (+45) 25 29 17 84 or e-mailing
We will be interviewing suitable candidates on a continual basis, including before the deadline expires. We therefore encourage you to send your application as soon as possible. The deadline for applications is 1 June 2018.
