VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR


Job description
As a volunteer coordinator, you maintain an overview of all volunteers active in Trampoline House,
the activities they engage in, and you help them with any issues they may have. You are also
responsible for recruiting new volunteers and to collaborate with Trampoline House’s Program
Coordinator in adjusting the house’s calendar if necessary.


Responsibilities
• Recruit necessary volunteers
• Send out volunteer position offers on Facebook, frivilligjob.dk, graduateland, RUC, KU, AAU,
CBS, etc.
• Answer emails from current and potential volunteers
• Issuing contracts and updating the Intern & Volunteer Chart in collaboration with the Internship Coordinator Intern
• Introduce new volunteers to the house, their tasks, and staff contact person or work area
coordinator
• Send out invitations for the monthly Info meeting for new interns and volunteers and the
guided tour in an asylum center
• Hosting the monthly Info meeting for new interns and volunteers together with the
Administrative Director and the Intern & Volunteer Coordinator
• Maintain the overview of who coordinates which activities
Weekly responsibilities
• Receiving and announcing activity cancellations to the Program Coordinator every Monday
morning
• Staff meeting every second Wednesday 12–1 pm (uneven weeks)
• Ensure all new volunteers are added to their respective Facebook group(s)
• Update contact lists for each group
• Update internal mailing list (Excel spread sheet), and then Mail Chimp
• Update the Facebook group Trampoline House Interns, Volunteers & Researchers
Info meeting for new interns and volunteers (repeated every first Wednesday of the month, 5–6:30
pm)
Bring and set up:
• Projector (white/silver)
• Speakers from the kitchen
• Extension chord
• Director Morten Goll brings his laptop
• Updated and printed job descriptions (from www.trampolinehouse.dk/become-an-intern and
www.trampolinehouse.dk/become-a-volunteer) plus a list of tasks that need to be solved by
volunteers/interns
Get-together sessions for interns and volunteers in Feb and May / Sept. and Nov. (last Friday of each
month, 5–10 pm). The get-together is a space where volunteers and interns can share their
experiences and thoughts about their work in Trampoline House.
• Send out invitation to all volunteers and interns one week before on email and Facebook – you
can find the invitation in the Facebook group, but remember to change the date
Mails
• ALWAYS cc mails to volunteer@trampolinehouse.dk
• Requests from people who want to volunteer à send invitation to next information meeting or
arrange one-on-one meeting, REMEMBER to make sure the date is correct and attach a
‘Written introduction’ to the house (PDF)
• Requests from people who want to do an internship/EVS à send standard reply
• When sending contracts à insert standard reply, attach contract, and ‘Written introduction’
PDF

 


Requirements
• Strong English language skills, especially in writing
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Mailchimp
• If possible, bring your own laptop to work with
