Ph.d. & forskning

eHealth researcher at the Eriksholm Research Centre, Denmark

Do you have an extensive knowledge of clinical audiology practices and of eHealth research? Would you like to be part of developing tomorrow’s eHealth solutions for people with hearing loss and their clinicians? Would you like to become part of a world class audiology research centre? Does facilitating research with partners around the world sound like your dream job? It is an attractive proposition to become part of a team of scientists whose work with academic partners leads to the development of novel products and services in William Demant?

Then you might be the new eHealth researcher we are looking for!

Your team and tasks
You will become part of the eHealth team, that consists of five dedicated researchers with a strong international track record and an interdisciplinary perspective of eHealth research. With your new colleagues, you will be responsible for researching eHealth solutions that can transform clinical audiology with flexible, personalised support. Your work will benefit from the synergy gained by collaborating with colleagues in the Cognitive Hearing Sciences and Augmented Hearing research groups at Eriksholm Research Centre.

You will conduct patient-centered research to address some or all of the following: (1) awareness of hearing loss, its impacts and intervention options via online access and support, (2) application of data and advanced analytics to optimize hearing healthcare support, and (3) hearing-aid based sensor technology to broaden the scope of hearing healthcare to include early idenification of acute and gradual onset conditions. Your research will generate publications and presentations and will support hearing healthcare providers and their patients.

Research conducted at Eriksholm is applied and is conducted in close collaboration with leading scientists around the world. You will also have the opportunity to bring your ideas to fruition with colleagues within Oticon and the rest of William Demant.

Your tasks will include:

  • Managing and participating in new and ongoing research projects
  • Contributing to dissemination of ehealth team projects though scientific publications, conference presentations, and through opportunities that arise at universities or local agencies.
  • Actively collaborating with colleagues in the eHealth team, with colleagues in other groups at Eriksholm, with university collaborators, and with colleagues in William Demant on joint ehealth-related projects
  • Proactively seeking out collaborations and partnerships that can promote and advance ehealth-related projects.
  • Writing and preparing grants and seeking out sources of grant funding.

Your background
We expect you to have a PhD in a hearing healthcare-related field such as clinical or applied research audiology. Alternatively, you have a MSc in a hearing healthcare-related field and you have significant research experience. You also have experience with management of research projects.

On a personal level, you thrive in a role requiring you to be in contact with a broad range of stakeholders. You see taking on new tasks as rewarding and challenging and you do so without hesitation. You are a fast learner and you have high drive. You have a friendly and open attitude.

We expect you to be fluent in both oral and written English.
