About the department

Cities Changing Diabetes ( is Novo Nordisk’s global platform to address urban diabetes, including the risk factors in urban areas that lead to the growing rate of people with diabetes and obesity in cities. After a successful launch in 19 cities around the world, we are working to drive the implementation of the scientific, communication and advocacy agendas related to urban diabetes. In 2019, the key priorities are to drive the programme forward in the 19 cities, expand into new cities and to start planning for our 3rd Cities Changing Diabetes Summit that will take place in early 2020.

The position

You will support project managers in the Cities Changing Diabetes team in day-to-day business processes and tasks. In this role you will work to develop evidence to address strategic questions, work with team members on ad-hoc analyses and assist with planning/development of activities.

  • Internship period: 6 months
  • Working hours: Full time (37 hours a week)
  • Start date: 1 September 2019
  • Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full time work permit is required


We are looking for an intern who is passionate about public health, evidence development, analysis and communication. You are currently studying on your Master’s degree in Health Economics / Economics, Epidemiology or another relevant field within health. General knowledge of health services research-related disciplines, key methodologies (database analysis, systematic literature reviews, cost-analyses) and applied research is preferred.

You are a person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. Fluency in both oral and written English, ability to manage a large volume of projects (with supervision), sound personal judgement and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.
