Internship for Devices & Supply Chain Management

Novo Nordisk A/S

Bagsværd, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do you want to use your strong analytical capabilities on exciting business challenges and to help drive strategic change? Do you get energy from delivering results, challenge status quo and manage a complex stakeholder landscape? And do you want to be part of a team where two days never look the same and where strong stakeholder management is a prerequisite for success? Then you might be our new Business Support Intern.

About the department
Devices & Supply Chain Management (D&S) is responsible for device production, sourcing and the supply chain management across Product Supply (PS). This includes bringing new devices from Research & Development into production and to launch. The key task is to ensure new devices to produce components to devices at a high quality and low cost, to set up new production facilities in local markets, to manage a supply chain of raw materials and outsourced processes and products, and to ensure an aligned supply chain management across PS.

We value professionalism and responsibility, and have an open and informal culture. We ensure an environment where we focus on continuously improving individual and team competences.

As Business Support Intern, you will be part of D&S Business Support which is a staff function to D&S, and you will be responsible for driving various cross-functional processes and projects in D&S. Your key stakeholders will be colleagues in line of business, in central Business Support and in D&S Management. You will be located in Bagsværd close to D&S Management but you are also expected to be present in and interact with local business units to drive results within your area of responsibility.

The position
As Business Support Intern, you will work closely together with the Business Development Partner and Finance team in driving the D&S business plan and support the strategy deployment across D&S. You will support the development of specific business proposals. This also includes preparation of the D&S business plan with a clear link to the Product Supply business plan. This will require you to prepare relevant strategic analysis and presentations. You will support selected cross-functional projects with strategic impact where you will work with stakeholders across the organisation.

• Internship period: 6 months
• Working hours: Flexible (from 20 to 37 hours pr. week)
• Start date: As soon as possible
• Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
• A Danish full time work permit is required

We are looking for an Intern with a passion for strategy and strategic analysis. You are currently studying for your Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance or another relevant field. We prefer if you already have experience in handling strategic analysis and transforming analysis into clear and understandable communication.

We expect you to have excellent communication skills in English, that you have the skills to handle a large volume of projects and the sound personal judgment to reach independent decisions.

As a person, you are outgoing with a strong personal drive and dedication. Your strong interpersonal skills help you build relationships across functions and geography, and you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on. You have a genuine interest in understanding other’s perspective and as such interact with stakeholders in an open and respectful manner but you are not afraid to challenge status quo.

You are an Excel and PowerPoint super-user. You work in a structured way, have a sharp eye for details and are excellent in building an argument and storyline in presentations. You can handle many tasks simultaneously, have a strong focus on quality and want to deliver results.
