Plasmons - collective oscillations of charges - in nanostructures are presently under intensive investigation. Very recently, research into plasmons in structures which are coupled to external reservoirs has started. There are several experimental studies in such systems, but here we wish to study theoretically this situation. This project is inspired by a recent letter (Phys. Rev. Lett. 125, 236801 (2020) - consult this paper for additional references) which took the initial steps. The aim is to expand the published work so as to include quantum effects, which are expected to play a significant role. The quantum effects could arise due to the coupling, or by other self-energy effects. I samarbejde med
