Cluster administrator (reannouncement)

The IT University of Copenhagen is looking for a cluster administrator, who will join the Computer Science Department to manage the ITU HPC cluster and contribute to the Danish HPC Center of Excellence co-funded by EuroCC. The goal of the EuroCC project is to ensure a coordinated and consistent high level of expertise across Europe in HPC and related disciplines such as high-performance data analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Your profile
You are responsible for the development and operations of ITU HPC cluster, including hardware planning and acquisition, system architecture and documentation. You monitor the use of the ITU HPC cluster and implement the governance policies adopted by ITU HPC committee. You support and train ITU's researchers in the use of HPC systems at ITU and externally. You participate in university training and outreach in HPC and data science.

Your competences

- Unix/Linux system administration - Clusters & HPC management, experience with (or ability to build competence in) xCAT, slurm, EasyBuild

Salary
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).

The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. The IT University has more than 160 full-time Faculty members. Research and teaching in information technology span all academic activities which involve computers including computer science, information and media sciences, humanities and social sciences, business impact and the commercialization of IT.
