Become a part of our Production Engineering Software team in Kamstrup
Kamstrup is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of smart metering systems for energy and water consumption. As a Data Science Intern, you will become a part of our Production Engineering Software department, consisting of 14 experienced software developers who are responsible for all software-related elements in the production process. The department has a cross-organisational cooperation, which gives ample opportunity for sparring and developing your personal and professional skills.
An internship with focus on optimising products through software and data
In the first half of 2021, we will launch the TemperatureSensor 63 & 83 product line, which is manufactured on a completely new production line. During your internship, you will be involved in improving our new temperature sensor products and production by increased use of data and software, and you will be responsible for developing new software programs.
As this project is a collaboration between Production Engineering Software and Product Management, you will be involved in many work closely with both software developers from your team, stakeholders from the production and quality, as well as with the responsible Product Manager.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Developing new software using C#
- Analysing and visualising big data sets
- Developing and writing queries in Transact-SQL for data retrieval and filtering
Personality matters
We are looking for a committed student who can contribute to improving our products through software. Since your role will be to develop new software programs that support specific business needs, you must have an interest in business needs and how your software can support it. You have a science or engineering background where you are used to do develop software programs, as you are attending a university degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or similar.
As a person, you are responsible and structured. You like to present your solutions to stakeholders and use their feedback to improve the solutions. You can work independently, but you also appreciate close cooperation with your team.
The job requires fluency in both written and spoken English. Danish will be an asset, but not a requirement.

Any details regarding the internship will be individually agreed upon.
