Who are we?

Oticon Medical provides Cochlear implant hearing solutions for patients with severe hearing loss. We – the Digital Solutions Team – are looking for a student assistant to support with various UI and UX tasks. You will be a part of our UX team that focuses on our audiological fitting software solutions that are used at hospitals to adjust patients’ hearing implants. You will work across multiple agile teams consisting of UX designers, audiologists, software developers and software testers.

Key responsibilities
Your primary tasks include:

• Analysis of our current software solution to identify potential improvements
• Creating wireframes and prototypes
• Support on planning and execution of usability tests
• Preparing and maintaining software design specifications
• Support of the development team with UI assets

The nature of the tasks will vary with some being ad hoc and other reoccurring on a monthly or quarterly basis and can extend to other topics such as design documentation tasks in excel, word etc.

Are you our new colleague?
We expect that you are studying a relevant academy profession programme (“professionsbachelor”), bachelor or master’s degree. We envision that you are a student of arts, engineering, software, industrial design or similar. You should be at least a few years into the program. As a person we expect you to be open minded and eager to deliver outstanding visual work using your talent and knowledge. Experience with vector graphics editors and prototyping tools is a bonus.

Even if you are not able to match all qualifications stated above, we would like to hear from you. If you are gifted with exceptional visualization skills, it may not be necessary with usability experience – or vice versa. If so, please elaborate in your application, why you believe we should pay special attention to your application.

The ability to work independently is considered a prerequisite, together with a fluent oral and written level in English.

We are looking for a colleague who can support the team 1 – 2 days a week. We are flexible regarding your study plans and you will work from our headquarters in Smørum – a 10-minutes’ walk from Kildedal train station.
