The Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen, invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor of Nature-Based Therapy & Health Promotion. We seek candidates qualified to be part of the teaching in our Master Education Program and (Outreach) Supplementary Education Activities, as well as conducting research, all within the area of nature-based therapy & health promotion.
The position is placed within the interdisciplinary research group Nature, Health & Design, which conduct research within a wide range of research trends on interactions between human health and the natural environment. The research group’s research expertise provides research-evidence and practical guidelines for policy makers, city planners, landscape architects, therapists and other health professionals in translating gained knowledge into practice.
Current position will primarily focus on teaching master students and students in the Supplementary Education Activities and to a less extend participate in research projects.
A successful candidate holds a Master in Clinical Psychology, Physiotherapy or related fields and have practical and clinical experience with integrating nature and health. Candidates with a Ph.D. and teaching experience on an academic level are preferred.
The Assistant Professor’s duties will primarily include research-based teaching with associated examination obligations and research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties, such as developing outreach activities concerning Supplementary Education activities within nature based therapy and health promotion.
Assessment of applicants will consider their teaching qualifications and teaching experience. Internationally research experience are not required for this position.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
