Postdoc of Theoretical Catalysis

Catalysis is key in the future transition towards renewable chemicals and fuels. The newly established Center for High Entropy Alloy Catalysts (CHEAC) targets electrochemical reactions for the production of renewable and high-value chemicals.
The aim is to understand and discover materials for catalyzing electrochemical reactions. This position is for 2 years within computational chemistry, applying and developing state of the art electronic structure simulations tools and analysis. There will be a close collaboration with the experimental partners in the project.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within theoretical catalysis as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.
Suitable Candidates
We expect you to be a highly motivated and ambitious scientist with the following qualifications:
- Ph.D-degree in Physics, Chemistry or related fields with a good result.
- Documented experience with computational chemistry/catalysis.
- The candidate should be able to work both independently and within an international, cross-disciplinary group and supervise students.
- Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.435 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.801). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
