We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual with an HR profile who can drive local and regional Learning & Development as well as other projects within HR. We need someone with a global mindset and a passion for collaborating closely with our business units to develop our people and organizations throughout Hempel.

• Drive and deploy key Learning & Development initiatives in cooperation with Group and the local People & Culture teams.
• Lead other key HR strategic projects for the region, which involve working side by side with the People & Culture Director, and the whole People & Culture Team within the region.
• Assist in driving our HRIS implementation and secure successful deployment throughout the organisation
• Assist in Mergers & Acquisition projects on a need to basis.

Your home base will be at our Crown Paints office in Darwen, UK and you will on a day by day basis report to our local P&C Director. Your position is global, so you get a six-month placement abroad. You’ll experience life and work in other cultures. You’ll build a global network of like-minded lighthouse leaders – ready to take Hempel to another level.

• You have graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HRM) within the last 5 years or will graduate from university or business school no later than 1 September 2021.
• You have a collaborative mindset, and are eager to build strong relationships across a global organisation.
• Most importantly, you’re ambitious and possess the drive and ability to become a future leader. You’re motivated by making a difference - and by making other people shine.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Prior HR internship, or experience working in a global company for 2-5 years depending on educational degree
• Basic knowledge of Project Management as well as strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Collaborative approach and passionate about learning
• Additional French and/or German language skills
