Research Assistant - Supporting Industrial Collaborations within Novel Cancer Therapies

A research assistant position is now available in the CBIO group at DTU Health Technology. We are seeking a motivated and talented colleague to help develop our research in preclinical cancer therapy.
As a research assistant, you will be part of a highly driven and cross-disciplinary research environment consisting of skilled researchers with a strong background in both immunology and cancer therapy. During your employment, you will get the chance to be part of multiple projects within advanced drug delivery platforms for cancer therapy. You will be part of a newly established team collaborating with biotech companies from the US, and thus you will get insight into driving industrial/academic partnerships.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Your main role will be to support our preclinical research in cancer therapies, and thus you will perform both in vitro and in vivo studies. You will work with a broad range of experimental techniques such as:
- RNA isolation and qPCR
- Cell line and primary cell cultures
- Flow cytometry
- Efficacy studies in murine cancer models
- Extraction of tissues and ex vivo analysis
We seek a talented and engaged researcher, who is able to work independently in the laboratory and uphold a high scientific level. You must also have good communication skills (written as well as oral) as well as capacity to support other members of the team. As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in Human Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology or equivalent. In addition, FELASA certification (ABD) is a prerequisite for applying to this position and experience with animal work is preferred.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
