Student Assistant for IT Development

Centrica Energy Trading (formerly known as Neas Energy) is an international energy asset management company that provides physical and financial optimization of renewable and conventional energy assets operating on energy markets in Europe.

We are looking for an ambitious and pro-active person to support the Management Group in IT Development at Centrica Energy Trading. The department consists of c63 employees with a management group of 5 Team Leads and a Head of ITD. We work with the latest technologies and use agile methods such as scrum to ensure fast and valuable deliveries to our business.

The person we are looking for:

Currently or due to commence studying IT Management or similar qualification with a desire to gain experience in working in an international company with software as a differentiation capability. We expect the person to bring insights about the latest theories within IT Management, IT Strategy and Agile methods into play in their support to the Management Group. As a person we expect individuals to be self-driven and take responsibility for the variety of tasks that they will be responsible for.

The expected tasks would be (but not limited to):

• Provide Executive Assistant support to the Head of IT Development
• Prepare presentations for senior management
• Lead on small analysis tasks and projects in IT Development
• Prepare department meeting presentations
• Support the Management Group
• Participate and coordinate different working groups focused on continuously improving our department
• Provide Ad Hoc support on strategic initiatives carried out in the Management Group
• Ensure coordination of on-boarding of new employees
• Other practical tasks in support of the Management Group.

Practical information about the position:

Working Hours: 10-15 hours a week, with flexibility for less and more hours depending on holiday periods and exams.
