Patients referred for hearing aid treatment will test them-selves with user-operated audiometry as they will have a manual audiometry test. Following the audiometry test, the hearing aid will be fitted using one of the two tests. Following an acclimatization period with the new hearing aids, the patients will be tested with aided speech intelligibility tests in free field. Patients will also respond to questionnaire in order to have patient reported outcome measures regarding their perceived benefit in relation to the hearing with the hearing aids.
