Copenhagen Legacy Lab is seeking an innovative, data-oriented student

Wonderful Copenhagen

Copenhagen Legacy Lab as part of Copenhagen Convention Bureau’s (CCVB) in Wonderful Copenhagen is seeking a purpose-driven student who aims to support the vision of transforming the meeting industry through long-term positive impact.

What is Copenhagen Legacy Lab

Copenhagen Legacy Lab (CLL) is an innovative and concrete strategic initiative launched by CCVB. CLL is part of a new value proposition attracting congresses to Copenhagen by capturing and creating long-term positive value by facilitating collaborations across relevant sectors before, during and after the congresses. CLL goes beyond the immediate financial benefits that come from being a host destination to international congresses by looking into long-term positive impact whether that means new kinds of investments, job creation or talent attraction just to mention few examples.

How does a ‘legacy’ process look like

CLL is a nexus that seeks to deeper integrate the international congresses held in Copenhagen with the local public, business and science communities by facilitating a systematic and proactive exploration and development of untapped potential impact activities. We are about to digitize our approach and become even more data-oriented as part of qualifying congresses and events with a ‘legacy’ potential, connecting relevant stakeholders and capturing and measuring the long-term positive impact created from the legacy process. CLL does that in order to support the lifecycle of a congress from selecting and bidding on a relevant congress supporting our strongholds in Copenhagen, to planning and hosting the event, and not at least following-up on and monitoring the long-term positive value from international congresses.

What is CLL looking for

  • A purpose-driven, independent, and collaborative student preferable in the beginning of your Master Degree
  • A bachelor from ITU or similar learning setting, but more important passion for and perhaps experiences with identifying, designing, testing, implementing, and monitoring innovative and digital processes using also new technology and platforms with a higher purpose supporting the SDG’s
  • You know how to research, analyze, structure, and communicate data and findings clearly both in Danish and English
  • You are used to working with graphic design, power-points, and excel
  • A structured approach towards administrative and development tasks
  • Not a requirement but a plus if you have an entrepreneurial mindset with experiences from a public/private setting due to previous student jobs

Your tasks

  • Do research and present findings in order to develop and maintain a variety of CLL tasks e.g. stakeholder mapping, fundraising etc.
  • Play an instrumental part in organizing ‘legacy’ workshops for international associations and local hosts
  • Form part of developing and maintain new (digital) tools in order to measure long-term positive impact
  • Ad hoc operational and development tasks including reporting

What can we offer

  • To become part of an experienced, social and well-known convention bureau within the global meeting industry
  • Form part of a strategic initiative – CLL - that has achieved international recognition within the global meeting industry
  • Collaborate closely with people that are also representing a new perspective to the meeting industry having experiences from related areas outside the industry
  • Get exposed to an entrepreneurial way of working within an organization that aims for collaborations across sectors and stakeholders
  • Support Copenhagen as a sustainable destination as part of Wonderful Copenhagen
  • A setting where also social gatherings and students play an instrumental part of the work environment in the heart of Copenhagen

You will be part of the congress team. The position is 15 hours/week.
