Do you have a passion and flair for classical microbial techniques and assays combined with the desire to develop new assays and lab procedures? Are you open to learn new areas and techniques? Then you may be our new microbiologist in Enzyme Assay Development in Bagsværd.

Welcome to Enzyme Assay Development (as part of Global Enzyme & Microbial Assays)
The department is responsible for developing, validating, and subsequently transferring analytical assays and new procedures into our global Quality Control laboratories worldwide. We cover the analytical support within the product development phase until launch. For our microbial contaminant methods, you will secure optimization, troubleshooting and global alignment for both new and existing products, all in compliance with the regulatory and quality requirements, especially in our new strategic areas in Novozymes.

Your work has a global focus, and you should be able to interact daily with a broad range of stakeholders from Project management Groups, Quality management, Regulatory, Quality control, and colleagues within the area

Potentially relevant experience:

  • A Master’s degree or Ph.D in microbiology or equivalent
  • Experience with sterile techniques and classical microbial contaminant methods and (e.g. TVC, E. coli, Salmonella) - either from your thesis, a research or QC laboratory, but might be newly qualified or have only a few years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of molecular biological techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR amplification can be an advantage.
  • Be innovative and open-minded for new procedures and new-ways-of-working
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork attributes directly interacting with your colleagues and stakeholders
  • Keep deadlines and focus on a collaborative way-of-working, even when your busy
