We are looking for a group of motivated graduates to be part of ensuring Nordea remains a secure and trusted bank for our customers and the wider society. In Group Risk, we provide efficient risk management to be at the forefront of Nordea’s risks. We are continuously developing our methods and tools to support the bank in realising the business plans and exploring new business opportunities.

Our 2 years graduate programme is designed to kickstart your career and includes job rotations with clear learning objectives to support your growth. As the Graduate, you will be connected to several people who will give you sparring, guidance and support throughout the whole programme. To support your personal and professional growth, you will also be offered mentoring by some of our highly skilled and experienced colleagues in Nordea.
About this opportunity
Welcome to Group Risk! Joining Group Risk means you will have impact on how we manage risks within Nordea. We are responsible for advising and carrying out monitoring and control of Nordea’s risks in the Business Areas and Group Functions. We ensure that Nordea has effective processes to manage and mitigate risks, so the risks are within Nordea’s risk appetite.

In Group Risk, we are responsible for a wide range of exciting tasks – here are some of the tasks that you can work with as a graduate in Group Risk:
- Setting the direction and standards for managing credit risk across Nordea to avoid critical losses both for the bank and our customers
- Delivering frameworks and analysis of financial risks and advising our business to ensure our capital and liquidity is employed in a safe and considered way
- Analysing data, statistical modelling and complex coding to deliver best in class risk modelling and model validation
- Engaging with the business to advice, test and monitor the operational risks of Nordea
- Setting the strategic direction and governance on security for Nordea to protect our bank and customers
- Developing and optimising processes, and driving change initiatives to ensure Group Risk is running smooth and effectively

To be a qualified candidate for the Graduate positions, you have:
- Master’s degree (latest 1 September 2023)
- A maximum of two years’ post-academic work experience
- Excellent English language skills
