We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled student to join our Internet of Things (IoT) Product and Business Design team for a hands-on internship, project position, or thesis project role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and work on exciting projects related to IoT and gain valuable experience in the field.
Who we are:
As one of the seven Danish GTS companies, we are dedicated to developing and using technologies and new knowledge for the benefit of Danish companies and Danish society as a whole. At FORCE Technology Digital, located in DTU Science Park in Hørsholm, we work with applied innovation and use technology to enhance products and businesses - that is, facilitate development processes and help shape the right IoT concept to create sustainable and usable IoT solutions for companies to make direct use and get the value of. We work with end-to-end processes and have an innovative approach to problem-solving, business modelling and service innovation combined with deep expertise in electronics and hardware. We are bridging the gaps between new hardware technologies, design thinking and business development.
Our clients and partners are both small and large companies as well as the innovation system, which includes universities, other GTS institutes and national knowledge clusters. We work with the latest technology in sensors, wireless communications and IoT platforms. We run projects from idea through proof-of-concept to finding the right business model and identifying partners to develop and manufacture the final product.
What the job is about:
In this internship or project role, you will be responsible for assisting with the design and development of IoT demonstration solutions for e.g. inventory management or smart building control. This will include research, component and product selection, prototyping and testing (on both physical and digital setup) as well as installing and troubleshooting the whole system.
The work is primarily independent, but with good opportunities for sparring. You will get to work closely with our full-time employees and other student assistants. The work is very practical. We are of course flexible, especially in exam periods. The duration of the internship, project position, or thesis project will be agreed upon during the hiring process.
Who we are looking for:
To be considered for this position, you must be pursuing a degree in a related field such as electrical engineering , design engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering. You are expected to have a great understanding of IoT technology and concepts. Experience with IoT technologies such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and sensors is a plus– and so is having programming skills.
This is a great opportunity for a student looking to gain real-world experience. If you are excited about the prospect of working in a department working with cutting-edge IoT technology and the business around it, and you have the rightskills and drive, we encourage you to apply.
This is a part-time or full-time unpaid position, the duration is flexible based on your availability. Remote work is partly possible, but we expect that you will work regularly at our office.
We are screening applications on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply – and no later than 20. February 2023.
