Student Assistant for Data Privacy

Strategic Information Security and Data Privacy are part of Corporate Affairs, and our work spans the whole of GN Group. We are setting the strategic level for GN for information security and data privacy, and through this we are in contact with colleagues across the world.

Located at our HQ in Ballerup, you will join the Strategic Information Security and Data Privacy team consisting of 8 dedicated colleagues working with information security, data privacy, risk management, vendor assessment, etc.

Handling data requests and improving our e-learning
As our new student assistant, your work will focus on data privacy – this includes handling requests from customers regarding their data and the following communication with the relevant department. To a certain degree, you will own this process and hopefully in time be able to suggest (and further implement) improvements. For this, you will be building and maintaining a wide internal network, since data privacy impacts our entire organization.

Specific tasks include assisting with:

• strengthening the existing data privacy organization
• performing process gap analyses in cooperation with the business
• creating and updating data privacy policies and processes
• fulfilling data subject requests
• creating, updating and improving our training and awareness materials in cooperation with our Risk and Compliance team

Depending on your studies as well as our needs, we expect you to join us in Ballerup 1-2 days a week with flexibility.

You are curious and thorough with an IT mindset
Most importantly, you are motivated by learning new skills, systems, products and processes, and you are curious about our organization. Furthermore, you have a good general understanding of IT as well as good social and people skills, so that you can communicate well with a wide array of people internally. Lastly, you have some personal stamina and are not afraid to push your – and the team’s - agenda even if people are reluctant.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

• For example have a B.S. and have started your master’s degree – it is not immensely important within which area
• May have some knowledge of data privacy, but otherwise we will introduce you to the subject
• Have a general understanding of Office 365 and find it easy to learn new IT systems
• Are fluent in English and Danish, both written and verbal
• Are thorough and take pride in getting things done – well and on time
