As we prepare for our Series A fundraising round, we’re looking for a driven and analytical student to join our team as a Fundraising & Investor Analyst. You’ll work closely with the leadership team to identify investors, prepare strategic materials, and help organize our fundraising process from end to end.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital, startup fundraising, and strategic financial storytelling — directly alongside the company founders, and senior decision-makers.

The position is part-time (16 hours per week) and we’re looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

The role offers flexibility around your studies but also requires the ability to work with short notice when time-sensitive fundraising activities arise.

🎯 About the Role
As a Fundraising & Investor Analyst, you’ll be responsible for researching, mapping, and prioritizing potential investors across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. You’ll help us build the foundation for investor outreach, structure our fundraising documentation, and support the project management of the Series A process.

You’ll learn how to communicate a startup’s vision, traction, and market opportunity to professional investors — while developing skills in financial analysis, market research, and strategic communication.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Investor Research & Qualification: Identify relevant venture capital funds, impact investors, and strategic partners. Evaluate their fit with WasteHero’s stage, sector, and geography, and segment them into Tier 1, 2, and 3 categories.
• Investor Outreach & Relationship Building: Support outreach initiatives by preparing investor briefs, managing CRM lists, and tracking communication progress. Coordinate follow-ups and assist in managing ongoing investor relationships.
• Market Intelligence & Reporting: Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark WasteHero within the sustainability and smart city ecosystem. Prepare short analytical summaries and market insights that inform investor discussions.
• Fundraising Documentation Support: Assist in compiling and structuring core fundraising materials — including narrative, performance indicators, and analytical data supporting growth and financial projections. Work with the leadership team to ensure that all materials are accurate, visually consistent, and investor-ready.
• Project Management: Help coordinate the fundraising timeline, track deliverables, and maintain a structured data environment. Ensure that all stakeholders stay aligned across tasks, deadlines, and updates.

🧩 What We’re Looking For

• You’re a student in business, finance, economics, political science, or a related field
• Strong analytical and research capabilities — able to find, interpret, and synthesize information effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and structure
• Interest in venture capital, sustainability, and technology-driven innovation
  
• Comfortable using Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint, and project management tools
• Experience with CRM or investor databases (e.g. Crunchbase, PitchBook, Notion, Airtable) is a plus
