Engineering Internship in our Renewables Division, Aalborg

Your position
As our Intern at Semco Maritime, you will be able to take on a lot of responsibility if that is what you wish to do. You will be joining our Renewables Division in our Site Operation team and be working primarily on our Substations.

With us you will be treated like a part of the team and you will be included in the daily work, we see our interns as assets and we hope to be able to provide as much knowledge and experience to you as you will provide to us.
Our goal with interns is to be able to offer you a full time position when you finish your education, therefore you will also have the opportunity to write your thesis or final project with us after you have completed the internship.

This internship will be based at our construction site in Aalborg, where you’ll work between 07:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. All the details according to the duration of the internship will be discussed on the interview.

Your tasks & responsibilities
You will take part in various stages of mechanical/electrical engineering projects depending on what you are the most passionate about. The position has a high degree of customization and together with your manager you will find out what you want to invest the majority of your time in.

Examples of tasks you will/can participate in:

  • Completing a variety of problem-solving tasks on EPC projects
  • Assisting in the design of new constructions
  • Taking part in choosing the correct equipment and mechanical parts for engineering projects
  • Taking part in concept development
  • Assisting with optimization

Your profile & qualifications
As a person we imagine that you are ambitious and result oriented. You are someone who has an analytical mindset to find solutions for complex problems. You enjoy collaborating with the team.
Furthermore, you have a huge interest in learning new and taking on challenges.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • You are currently studying a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy engineering, marine engineering or similar
  • Focus on digitalization and innovation
  • Fluency in written and verbal English
  • Great communication skills
  • Flexible, committed, loyal and dedicated
