About the role
As MD & Billing Accountant you will be involved in creating and maintaining Customer Master Data, and responsible for handling the billing process, including upload, support and error handling of invoices. The billing process is initiated from various pre-systems and integrations secure transfer to our accounting system. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is preferred. The accountant is part of a bigger team which is also responsible for handling incoming and outgoing payments. There will at times be needed to assist this part of the team as well, so experience with managing payments and bookkeeping is an advantage. The MD & Billing accountant will further be involved in the continuous improvement and alignment of the Order to Cash processes across all segments.

The MD & Billing accountant will report to the Team lead for MD & Billing and Process owner Order to Cash & Purchase to Pay. The position will be located in either Oslo or Stockholm, and it will require some traveling.

As a MD & Billing Accountant you will be responsible for:
MD

• Customer Master Data Creation in ERP and through an Application
• Assist in enhancing customer master data quality in cooperation with sales organization

Billing

• Manual upload of invoice documents
• Validation and posting of credit notes
• Support and error handling of various flows of invoicing, e.g. from pre-systems, intercompany and subscriptions
• Order and invoice status revision in ERP
• Reconciliation
• Developing models for reconciliation between finance systems in Excel
• Ensure goal achievement through continuous follow-up and maintenance of master data customer and payment terms according to current policy and routines

Revenue Recognition

• Support Revenue distribution related tasks
• Monitor and resolve revenue recognition issues

General

• Support and assist continuous improvement initiatives and relevant projects
• Collaborate across teams in OTC & PTP to ensure goal achievement and continuous improvement
• Handle customer inquiries (Internal/External) and ensure that the team is up to date with customer handling and account reconciliation
• Take responsibility for own competence development in collaboration with Team leader

Who we are looking for
A MD & Billing Accountant should have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
• Experience with working with customer master data and billing in the order to cash process
• Strong interest in technical aspect of pre-systems and ERP
• Strong analytical skills and experience with improving quality for large amounts of data
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and suggest possible improvements
• Independently driven, collaborative and easy to work with
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English and Swedish or Norwegian
