What you will be doing:
As a Graduate, Civil Engineering, you're not just part of the team – you're at the heart of a rapidly expanding green energy mission, engaging with clients and projects spanning the globe. Your purpose? To become trained on all aspects of renewable energy systems, with focus on civil engineering scopes.

Together with the Civil Engineering team you will cooperate closely across the entire K2 Management organization to ensure that we offer the highest quality service to our clients and share our knowledge and experience. Duties will include:

• Assist in the creation of site-specific designs of onshore foundation structures, access roads, hardstands, drainage systems, substation.
• Review ground conditions based on desktop studies and outputs from site surveys, and prepare inputs for foundation designs.
• Support in the supervision and inspection of wind farm construction operations.
• Address technical queries relating to e.g. certification support, construction feasibility analysis and due diligence activities.
• Provide critical input to e.g. foundation remediation design, root-cause analysis of foundation failure, balance of plant contracts.
• Contribute to the strengthening of K2 Management’s offer, e.g. by developing / maintaining design tools and methods to achieve continuous improvement.
• Prepare clear, concise, client-ready engineering reports, to a high standard of quality, while adhering to budgetary and time constraints.

• We’re looking for someone who is interested in the industry’s specificities and challenges, e.g. regarding requirements for onshore (and offshore) wind farm construction and operation, fabrication limits and trends, development perspectives etc.
• We’re looking for someone with good organizational skills and a structured working approach.
• We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing (high-quality report writing).
• We’d love an individual who is open minded and has a collaborative personality, who always has the best in mind for colleagues and K2 Management overall. For this role, some of the specific criteria we’re looking for is:

About you:

• A technical degree (Meng, MSc and / or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline (preferentially Civil, Geoscience or similar).
• Experience in load and strength analysis exercises, including the use of suitable software packages.
• Possesses excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing - any second language is a plus!
• Eligible to work in Portugal.
