Full stack Cloud Developer Internship

Are you currently studying B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, and want to get experience within full stack development of cloud/SaaS solutions? Do you have experience with React, MaterialUI, Python or RESTful APIs? Do you want to pe a part of a R&D team that develops state-of-the-art solutions for highly engaged end-users in a global industry? Then this internship could be just the thing for you!
Unicontrol has revolutionized 3D machine control systems for excavators, wheel loaders and dozers making it accessible for a wider range of contractors. We have a strong vision of very high usability, and all our products and customers are always connected to our cloud/SaaS solution.

About the internship:

• Help the R&D team in developing our unique cloud/SaaS platform that connects our customers machines and projects.
• You will work in all layers of our SaaS system.
• Develop full stack with UI, backend API and databases in a very realistic setup for prototyping innovative solutions.
• Backend API: Based on Python with Flask. We have built it from the bottom with a small core that features a dynamic plugin architecture.
• Frontend UI: React/Typescript solution from the ground up configured with Webpack, pre-commit hooks, Babel, Eslint and Prettier.
• Test software on both functionality and solution level
• Close dialog with our customers to ensure our design is easy to use and fit their needs.

Key points on your profile:

• Study SW engineering or Computer Science and ready to start internship in autumn 2024
• Experience with React, MaterialUI, Python and/or RESTful API
• Experience with Database design
• We value the competence to create a great and extremely-easy-to-use UI
• In our development setup we also use Docker, Docker-compose, Kubernetes, AWS and GIS (PostGIS, Geoserver) and it will be an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with some of these.
