Automation Engineering Internship, Airport – spring 2025

Would you like to challenge your automation skills in an international company, where you will take part in all kinds of Airport automation related tasks?Be a part in creating the technology for our future product
As you learn our systems you will take part in the automation part of our projects. In the projects you and your colleagues design, program and configure controls for our baggage handling and logistics systems worldwide. You will support our internal production testing, help maintaining our physical test loops and take part in multiple project phases in various projects, when relevant, from specifications trough PLC programming, design, and testing.

Our expectations
We expect that you will manage tasks from A-Z with support from your Team Manager and colleagues. The projects will normally include:

• Maintain production test equipment and develop new test functions to optimize and secure the quality of every single element we supply to the Airports around the world.
• Take part in the development of the automation elements, when relevant.
• Conduct automation tests (Hardware test and emulation) on new products for Airport.
• Support the team in making functional and detailed design specifications for approval.

The end goal of your work with BEUMER Group will be a well-documented and tested solution that complies with the quality BEUMER Group is well-known for. We should be able to directly integrate the solution into our standard product portfolio.

As an intern, you become part of our Automation Controls team within Airport. Here, you join a team of creative and highly skilled colleagues. You will be provided with a dedicated mentor, ensuring that you will have all the necessary tools and knowledge to get going, and who will be supporting you during the entire internship. We use the Siemens TIA platform and knowledge of that will be an advantage – but it is not a requirement.

During the internship you will also be able to socialize with your fellow interns, where you can share your experiences and get to know each other.

You are currently studying Automation engineering, Electronics engineering, Marine Engineering & Technology Management or Electrical Engineering or similar and are available to start your internship in February 2025. The internship will last appr. 5 months – the exact duration will be arranged with your coming manager.
