The job

Your main focus will be supporting our gas traders with analysis, strategies and market insights.
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- collecting data from various sources and transforming it into clear, actionable insights and strategies
- programming and conducting analysis
- spotting market trends and patterns to strengthen trading strategies
- visualise data and communicate analysis insights
The team
Meet the team
You will join our Gas Modelling & Data team, whose main responsibility is to support gas traders with data and analysis to help them make informed decisions in a changing market. We do this by forecasting supply and demand, analysing trading data, developing automated tools, visualising data and pricing gas storages, transport capacities and other options.
We are a team of eight innovative specialists in quantitative analysis, data science and trading strategies with backgrounds in mathematics, physics and finance. We are always exploring new methods and technologies to deliver the best insights to our gas traders.
You will gain hands-on experience turning data into valuable insights that support our gas traders in forecasting supply and demand across Europe.

Your qualifications
But enough about us… over to you!
As you will be handling large amounts of data in a dynamic market, we picture you as a creative and analytical thinker, who is quick to find innovative solutions. We are also looking for someone with great communication skills who can turn complex data into insights and strategies that are easy to understand and act on.
We also imagine that you:
- are studying Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or another related field
- have experience in data analysis and programming (preferably Python and SQL) – and are keen to learn more
- show great attention to detail and accuracy
- can work approximately 15-20 hours a week
- are fluent in English – both written and verbal
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
