The position
As our new Intern, you will be a part of the Obesity Health Equity team, where you will support the project managers in day-to-day business processes and tasks.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Assisting with project management and tracking across the global network of Cities for Better Health
- Liaising with local project teams and partners around programme activities
- Helping setup and coordinate new intervention projects in Denmark
- Working with team members on ad-hoc analyses & project support
Practicalities:
- Internship period: Full-time in 6 months
- Working hours: 37 hours/week
- Start date: January - early February 2025
- Location:Bagsværd, Denmark
- Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
- Full-time Danish work permit is required for non-EU candidates
Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Both the internship period and working hours will be flexible to accommodate school projects/exams. Qualifications
You are currently studying for your Master’s degree in Global/Public Health, Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, Human Nutrition/Exercise Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Urban Planning, Nursing/Medicine, or another relevant field. Strong skills and interest in project management and working with partners is preferred. General knowledge of public health topics and methodologies is an asset.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Ability to manage a large volume of projects (with supervision)
- Experience with project management and time planning
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your learning
- Fluency in both oral and written English & Danish

About the department
The Obesity Health Equity team houses the Cities Changing Diabetes programme, Novo Nordisk’s flagship global platform for working in partnership with city governments, academia, and community organizations to address the growing burden of obesity, diabetes, and serious chronic diseases in urban areas around the world. After a successful launch in over 45 cities around the world, we are updating our strategy to place more emphasis on designing and implementing impactful prevention actions that target the shared drivers of serious chronic disease. In 2024, the key priorities are to drive the program forward in current and new partner cities, implement the updated program strategy, plan events and masterclasses, and support new pilot projects. This is part of Novo Nordisk’s overall ambition to Defeat Serious Chronic Diseases.
