Social Media & Content Assistant

The Marketing and Communications Department is seeking a Social Media & Content Assistant in our Copenhagen office. In this role, you are responsible for managing the organization’s online social presence, maintaining the content schedules, and publishing media across platforms. You collect, organize, and distribute content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and other marketing campaigns. Through this opportunity, you gain professional international work experience in the field of marketing and communications.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in social media trends, an understanding of how content is distributed across various digital platforms, and the ability to create and curate engaging content. In addition, this position requires that you are highly organized, an excellent communicator, and able to create a structure for yourself and others.
This is a full-time internship over 13 months, as a part of the DIS Post-Graduate Internship Program for alumni.

Responsibilities
Content Creation and Curation
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate, collect, and organize media
- Write short-form content and curate media tailored to each social media platform
- Develop engaging content that aligns with strategic goals and resonates with target audiences (including prospective and current students, alumni)
- Help fulfill media needs by covering student events and activities as needed
- Write for the DIS blog and assist in publication of blog posts as needed
Social Media Distribution
- Oversee daily operations of DIS social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok)
- Manage the social media content calendar, meeting regularly with team members to plan content across platforms
- Curate and repurpose content to maximize its impact across different channels
- Be the main source for social listening and community engagement to gain insights from our audiences
- Report on social media performance using data and insights, and monitor and analyze social media analytics to inform and recommend optimization
- Stay up to date on social media trends and emerging platforms
Student Media Team
- Assist the recruitment process of the Student Media Team and administrate applications
- Gather and review student-produced content and collaborate with team members to optimize and network content for various marketing platforms
- Train and mentor students involved in social media content creation
- Lead in event planning and administration of stipends for students
Additional Responsibilities
- Attend after-hour and possibly weekends for DIS and MarCom events
- Co-lead Study Tours and travel to DIS Stockholm as relevant
Who are you?
- DIS alum who has completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong understanding of social media platforms with an interest in trends and tools
- Understand the nuances of content distribution on different digital platforms and how to tailor content accordingly
- Proactive self-starter who can work independently
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Collaborative and comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and working in a team
- Confident in event planning, administrative support, and leading social media trainings for students
- Flexible with working hours to account for after-hour events and spontaneous projects
The following skills are beneficial, but not required:
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with social media publishing tools like Later/Meta, or similar.
- Experience with photography and videography and editing
