Student Assistant

Our customer-facing laboratory specializes in creating food prototypes, hosting innovation seminars, and conducting technical training sessions. These activities showcase the versatility of our ingredient portfolio, demonstrating functionalities such as texture, stability, mouthfeel, and suspension. Typical prototypes include jams, fruit-flavored drinks, yogurts, chocolate milk, confectionery, mayonnaise, and dairy desserts, which are shipped to customers worldwide or used in on-site training.

To support our dynamic daily operations, we are seeking a student assistant to join our team. Based at the world’s largest pectin plant, our lab thrives on agility, service-mindedness, and teamwork. This role offers hands-on experience in food applications, processes, and product development, allowing you to expand your professional network and deepen your understanding of the food industry.

Your role:
As our new student assistant, you’ll help keep the lab running smoothly and support our prototype development. You’ll work on diverse tasks, collaborate with an experienced team, and get a closer look at how the food industry works from the inside. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic lab environment.

Your key tasks will include:

• Assist with daily lab activities, including sample preparation and organizing prototypes.
• Conduct tasks like printing labels, blending samples, and packing shipments for global delivery.
• Support prototype creation, including preparing jams and troubleshooting sessions.
• Perform measurements using lab equipment under supervision and handle related data tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth lab operations and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Currently pursuing a degree in food science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical field
• A strong curiosity to understand lab procedures and develop technical expertise.
• Ability to take initiative and responsibility with supervision on simple queries.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ISO compliance in a laboratory setting.
• Proficiency in English, with good PC skills and familiarity with data handling tools.
• A dedicated, proactive team player with excellent communication and service-oriented skills.
