Junior Software Developer for Site Reliability Engineering
Systematic
Junior Software Developer for Site Reliability Engineering
Do you want to join a fast-paced and people-centric company where we challenge each other, our work processes, and technologies to stay ahead of the curve? Then this is the job for you!
Try your hand at Site Reliability Engineering
At Systematic, you will join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) department as part of an international team with colleagues located in both Aarhus and Bucharest.
The main objective of the SRE department is to ensure the reliable and efficient functioning of extensive software systems and services. By combining principles from software engineering and operations, SRE bridges the gap between development and operations teams, focusing on reliability, scalability and performance.
Tasks and responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include the following:
- Assisting with the operation, maintenance and optimisation of application solutions to ensure high levels of performance and resilience.
- Supporting development projects in the creation of deployable solutions and thus business value for our internal customers.
- Developing and maintaining automation tools, frameworks, monitoring and systems to streamline operational tasks.
You can expect a technically founded role and responsibility that encompasses more than just software development, giving you a unique opportunity to learn and develop your skills beyond traditional software roles.
The position will involve 10-15 hours of work a week, and we are, of course, flexible in relation to your studies.
You are the person we are looking for
… if you are a skilled developer with a keen interest in operations and currently studying for an MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar; ideally, you have one year left of your studies. At the same time, it would be an advantage if:
- you are good at cooperating, are keen to improve and develop into a team player
- you are driven by the quality of your work, and you make a point of understanding complex solutions
- you thrive when given responsibility, influence, freedom and the opportunity to develop your professional prowess
- you speak English fluently, and you are comfortable working in an international environment.
You must be interested in working with a wide range of new technological solutions and methods – and it would be a benefit if you are well-versed in some of the following technologies:
- Java Docker and Docker Compose
- GIT
- Python
- Kubernetes
- Ansible
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- Linux – WSL
- Scripting/bash
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
