Are you skilled in programming with a motivation for developing quantitative models? And are you interested in the ever-evolving nature of financial markets? If so, you might be the new student analyst for our Intraday Power Trading team!
The job
Here’s what the job entails
Your primary role will be to both support the Intraday Power Trading team with market analyses as well as build and maintain data visualisation tools and reports.
Concretely, your responsibilities include the following:
- conduct market analyses
- test market hypotheses
- actively show curiosity for the markets
- build and maintain tools

As our new student employee, you will join our Intraday Power Trading analysis team, which specialises in developing and implementing quantitative trading strategies for the European intraday power markets. We focus on leveraging technology and data analysis to optimise trading performance.
We are a team of motivated people from varying backgrounds, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of trading and optimisation. Our culture values collaboration, innovation and continuous learning and we encourage open communication and idea-sharing.
You will build programming and quantitative analyses skills, which will contribute to optimising energy markets and give you an in-depth knowledge of how the energy markets work

Your qualifications

As you will be carrying out analyses used for decision-making, we picture you as someone who applies a data-driven, critical and analytical approach to problem-solving. We are also looking for someone with an eye for detail and structure, as you will work with various cases that require thorough analysis.
We also imagine that you:
- are currently enrolled in a relevant study, for instance, data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics or engineering
- have proficiency in programming (for instance Python)
- have an interest in quantitative analysis and methodology
- are curious about the financial markets and trading principles
- are proficient in English – both written and verbal
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
