15 European PhD positions on Co-Construction in the field of social welfare

COCOSO Industrial Doctoral Network recruits 15 doctoral candidates (3 of which will be employed at Aalborg University) under MSCA conditions. Contracts will run from 1st September 2025 till 31st August 2028.

Jobbeskrivelse
The doctoral network“Co-Construction in the field of social welfare” COCOSO is funded by the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions. It brings together 6 universities and 16 partners from the non-governmental and public sectors in Europe. This industrial doctoral network is dedicated to participation and co- construction as a core dimension of democracy and innovation in social welfare.

The research will be fulfilled by 15 PhD candidates(3 of which will be employed at Aalborg University) under close collaboration and supervision of senior academic and industrial/ practice partners from different disciplines including social work, social policy, education, sociology, communication sciences and history; as well as different sectors such as local authorities and non-profit social organisations.

The COCOSO consortium looks for researchers from any nationality who wish to work in a highly collaborative, international and mobile partnership between research and social sector. The MSCA are based on the principle of physical mobility. You are therefore required to undertake transnational mobility in order to be eligible for recruitment in a DN project. As such, you must not have resided or carried out your main activity(work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their recruitment date.

Qualification requirements
PhD stipends are normally for a period of 3 years. PhD stipends are allocated to individuals who hold a Master’s degree, or expect to have obtained the Master’s degree before the employment date(Statement from thesis supervisor, verified transcripts, thesis contract and documentation of the date of the exam must be enclosed). According to the PhD Order, the PhD study comprises among other requirements: Participation in active research environments, including stays at other, mainly foreign, research institutions, private research enterprises etc.

General information
It is a prerequisite for allocation of the stipend that the candidate will be enrolled as a PhD student at The Doctoral School of Social Sciences and Humanities, in accordance with the regulations of Ministerial Order No. 1039 of 27 August 2013(PhD Order).

Appointment and salary
The employment is in accordance with the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Universities(the Appointment Order) and the Ministerial Order on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the state(AC collective agreement)(only in Danish).

Base salary and mandatory supplements will amount to a minimum of 30,716.00 DKK before tax, plus a pension scheme. Please note that the tax rate may be up to 40%. In addition to base salary and mandatory supplements, you may also be eligible for up to three allowances: living allowance, mobility allowance, and family allowance.”
