Academic advisor position for student assistants available! The study programs B.Sc. International Business Administration, Language and Culture and M.Sc./CMI Business, Language and Culture are in need of a academic advisor for both programs.
Your workplace will be remote or in your office at the campus Sønderborg. The contract starts by August 1, 2025 for the duration of one year. You will be employed for 185 working hours which can be stretched over the entire period.
You will:
- acquire in-depths knowledge of our study programs
- organize and lead study start activities for new students,
- represent our programs at the annual "open house" event in Sønderborg
- present our study programs at fairs, open houses, high school workshops and collaboration days with selected regional high schools
- organize our annual 'study internship' for high schoolers
- network with high schools in the German-Danish borderland
- cooperate with study tutors and faculty both at SDU and Europa-Universität Flensburg
- initiate social activities and business field trips
- consult students on study-related questions
- represent the study programs’ students in our annual employer panel meeting
We offer a well-paid, autonomous position for the duration of one year with great networking opportunities.
Strong linguistic skills in Danish, German and English are desirable, but not a prerequisite. Applications by students from the B.Sc. and CMI will be given preference.

Employment and application
The selected candidate as Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU and willing to be present at events in Sønderborg and travel to organizations in the region.
Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).
In case you have not yet had an examination at SDU, the enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript must be annexed your application.
Application must include cover letter, CV and transcript of grades. All documents in connection with the application should not contain CPR number (civil registration number) – in that case, the CPR number must be crossed out.
All attached files must be in Adobe PDF format. Cover letter and CV can contain max. 5 Mb.
