The job as a student trader
As a student trader, you will play a vital role in our trading team, assisting with trading and ensuring that all operational processes run smoothly. You’ll take part in developing and executing trading strategies and continuously analyzing market trends to identify profitable opportunities. You will be responsible for monitoring real-time data, making quick decisions, and collaborating with our full-time traders to ensure we seize the right market opportunities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the energy-trading industry.

We do not expect you to have experience in energy trading, but you should have a deep desire to learn and be interested in trading. The work hours will mainly be evening shifts on weekdays and weekend shifts, which should fit well with your studies. Weekends might include night shifts.

Your key responsibilities

• Covering a student position (at least 15 hours per week on average) as part of a shift schedule in our high-performing intraday team – we trade 24/7, 365 days a year

• Daily trading and optimization of trading positions
• Continuously monitoring fundamental data such as solar and wind generation to take positions in a split second
• Continuous risk evaluation
• Always question the status quo
• Share insights to optimize and rethink the way we trade

Your qualifications and personal skills

• Currently studying a bachelor's or master’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or related degrees
• An interest in financial markets, stock trading, sports betting, or similar
• Have a competitive mindset and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment, with the next deadline always coming up
• The ability and interest to learn about complex systems and methods quickly
• A positive and competitive person with grit, and at the same time, a great team player
• Can be direct with your colleagues and be able to receive direct constructive feedback
• Most importantly, a result-oriented mindset, always striving to be the best
