Arla Foods are looking to appoint an enthusiastic student to join our Network Services team for the 2027/2028 academic year for the Novus Student placements. The role will provide the successful student invaluable experience of working within a Network services department where they will have responsibility for all fresh milk and palletised delivery planning for our 3rd Party Logistics Providers.

The team has 8 schedulers who are responsible for planning 2600 store deliveries and 3215 pallet deliveries per day as well as 2 coordinators who act as the conduit between logistics operations and internal teams such as commercial and customer services to ensure high levels of service are maintained.

Network Services duties
Responsibilities include communicating live logistical challenges, analysing data to improve service metrics and coordinating re-deliveries.

• Generate daily issues and failures reports
• Utilise reports to analyse delivery data and put forth service improvement suggestions
• Coordinate timely delivery information between functions
• Route planning optimisation
• Facilitate roll out of new store deliveries
• Attend weekly KPI and haulier review meetings

The successful candidate will also be responsible for several project which include

• Supporting SAPTM Testing and roll out
• Automate & Digitise reporting & Tracking
• Streamline failed delivery process / communications
• Create and automate quarterly average store turnaround time report
