ActionAid DK is headquartered in Denmark and a part of ActionAid International. Together, we are a global team working with more than 25 million people around the world and creating political and social change in 45 countries throughout the world.

Founded in 1944, AADK has devoted decades of community organizing to drive local and international development initiatives including initially the reconciliation and reconstruction of the war-torn Europe after WWII.
TEAM DESCRIPTION:
The Programme Cluster consists of approximately 50 employees based in Denmark and abroad. The team secures funding, develops, implements, and maintains international programmes, initiatives, political advocacy work, and partnerships that are central to realizing ActionAid DK’s strategy.
ROLE:
As Project Assistant, you will primarily support the management of country programmes and take responsibility for delegated work areas and communication. You will specifically support senior programme managers with the administration of plans and budgets, quality assurance of financial and narrative reporting, and contribute to the strategic development of country programmes and projects. There will also be tasks related to daily operations and logistics.
Tasks:
- Development of annual plans and budgets
- Quality assurance of reporting (financial and narrative)
- Input to M&E processes and quality assurance of data sheets
- Quarterly disbursements
- Contribution to strategic development and participation in thematic discussions
- Strategic and technical input to programmes and relevant documents
- Planning and participation in meetings (Country Group, Steering Committee, partnership meetings)
- Responsibility for other delegated work areas
WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking at someone with the following skills:
Need to:
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Basic accounting and budgeting skills
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken)
- Physically present in the AADK office during working hours
- Service-minded, flexible, and enjoys supporting others
- Able to work independently and efficiently and maintain an overview
- Structured, systematic, detail-oriented, and thorough
- Willing to solve many diverse tasks of both professional, administrative, and practical nature
- Able to create systematic overviews
- Currently enrolled in a study programme
Nice to:
- Experience with international programmes
- Knowledge of development work and partnerships
- Interest in strategic development and political advocacy
