Concept Development Manager

In a new position at Bella Center, we are looking for a CONCEPTS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. In this role you develop new product concepts in close collaboration with the Product Manager.

You will be taking the lead in project managing the development of our packages and product concepts and as such be involved in the entire lifecycle, from ideation to launch. You will work closely with various departments, including Sales, Planning, Event Design, Operation as well as Marketing.

The key tasks in this role are project- and stakeholder management. Typically, ideas stem from various business needs, whether originating from Sales, Production, Planning, or even emerging market trends. A concept can encompass various elements, ranging from a lounge set-up and a look-and-feel theme for a conference to a comprehensive party package. What unites these concepts is that they are all based on a selection of our products, thoughtfully combined and presented within a cohesive sales presentation. Concepts can be used for either a specific business unit or widely for all our events.

You will also take lead in driving Modularity and Packaging into our Concepts Portfolio in order to reduce complexity and improve both revenue and profit margins.

In this position you will become a part of Venue Excellence Center - a team of 4 and a student helper. Besides a list of company benefits you will also to ability to work from home once a week as well as some flexibility in work schedule.

The team's core tasks are securing continuous optimization of our products, our ERP system and processes (our Operating Model).

Your responsibilities:

• Drive the process of standardization for Events, Exhibition and Congresses.
• Concepts Portfolio Strategy including Model and Governance definition
• Concepts align with Business Unit Plans
• Collect Business ideas that meet market needs
• Prioritize ideas in close collaboration with our Product Board.
• Standard portfolio of Concepts & Packages using Design to Value
• to the Product Board on the Standardization Progress
• Create Project Plan for all new development
• Cross-Functional Collaboration (with e.g. Sales, Yielding, Planning, Operation/Production, Marketing) to bring Concepts to market

Your daily tasks:

• Project Management
• Stakeholder Management
• Collaborating with Product Manager who will bring product performance data
• Collaborating with cross-functional team

Concept Roadmap:

• Identifying and analyzing Concept standardization opportunities linked to Business Unit (BU) plans and SPACE.
• Conceptualizing and developing Concept ideas in close collaboration with the business and the Product Manager.
• Project Managing the Concepts & Package development process, End-to-end, including timelines and budgets.
• Ensuring Concepts & Packages are displayed effectively on our web portal and / or in Sales Hubs / material.

Playbooks & Design Guides:

• Standard descriptions of solutions (layouts, materials, setups) that make it easy for Sales to sell and Operations to deliver.

Implementation Packages:

• Complete sets of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), price files, and packages for Momentus (our ERP system), as well as informative materials for staff.

Business Cases:

• Data-driven decision proposals that highlight yield potential and resource requirements before launch, with reference to the Product Managers product analysis.

About you:

• Proven experience with project management
• Product and/or Concept development or similar role
• Digitally skilled
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

You will become a success in this role when you:

• Ensure that Standard Concepts are curated in terms of sales material (created by Marketing) and following both our Product and Concept Excellence Strategy
• Ensure Concepts are effectively displayed on our web portal and other customer platforms
• Re-usage to a certain degree and Modularity (how often modules used across events, business units and periods).
