Postdoc in numerical aerodynamics and optimization - DTU Wind

Responsibilities and qualifications
CFD methods for aerodynamics is a key research area at DTU Wind. We are currently expanding our staff capacity to strengthen our research in adjoint methods and optimization for wind energy aerodynamics. The present position is central for our numerical developments and focuses on computational fluid-structure interaction for wind turbine blades and rotors. You will be working at our Risø Campus in the group around the EllipSys solver and contribute to our world-class research and long-standing collaboration with industry.
The ideal candidate will have documented experience with
- Development of computational aerodynamics
- Turbulence modelling
- Fluid-structure interaction in wind energy
- Aero-acoustic methods and optimization
- Supervision of MSc and PhD students
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
The period of employment is 2 years.
Starting date is 1 September 2026 (or according to mutual agreement).
