Join us at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, where your journey as a Engineering Student Worker will immerse you in the dynamic world of wind energy technology. Imagine collaborating with experienced engineers in our Materials & System Components team, where you’ll contribute to the development and analysis of critical wind turbine components, focusing on fasteners and joints. You’ll engage in hands-on projects that span from turbine design to production, gaining invaluable end-to-end experience. Your role will not only enhance your technical skills but also support our mission of driving innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will support the team in conducting technical analysis, documentation, and development of key components.
• Participate in relevant test activities and analyse test results to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering disciplines to design and document bolted connections in various turbine modules.
• Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the system components domain.
• Drive specific initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and efficiency in our processes.

What You Bring

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering, preferably at Aarhus University or a similar institution.
• A structured and pragmatic approach to work, enabling you to plan effectively, stay organized, and report on progress.
• Strong communication skills that allow you to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, essential for collaborating within our international team.
• A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in renewable energy and wind technology.
• Knowledge or experience in standards and methodologies for the design and analysis of bolted connections (e.g., VDI 2230) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS and CAD competence in 3D modelling using Siemens NX or similar platforms is beneficial.

You will be part of a dedicated team within the Technology department, specifically focusing on Materials & System Components. Our team is committed to innovation and excellence, working collaboratively to develop cutting-edge solutions for wind turbine technology. To contribute to a multidisciplinary and multicultural engineering team, you will help define how components are connected across the full value chain, from design to maintenance of bolted connections in wind turbines, while enjoying a collaborative and positive team atmosphere where we value attitude above experience or specific knowledge.
