Programme Intern at ADRA Denmark Would you like to become part of ADRA Denmark’s Programme Department – and contribute to our work on, among other things, peacebuilding, social cohesion and partnerships in Africa and theMiddle East? ADRA Denmark is seeking a motivated and engaged intern for the Autumn semester 2026 to join our team in Nærum. As an Intern, you will provide valuable support for ADRAs Programme and Humanitarian Coordinators and advisors, assisting with various tasks related to programme cycle management, planning, coordination and administration and selected communication and analytical tasks. The internship will have a particular focus on supporting ADRA Denmark’s work on peacebuilding and social cohesion, while also offering the opportunity to contribute to broader programme and partnership processes across the department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the day-to-day work of a humanitarian and development NGO while developing practical skills in programme support, coordination, analysis, and communication ina collaborative and purpose-driven environment. ADRA Denmark is an exciting workplace with about 25 employees in Nærum. We are part of a global network, founded on Christian values and present in 120 countries. ADRA Denmark has eight implementing partner offices globally, focusing on locally led interventions with a nexus-driven focus across the programme and partnership portfolio. Task examples: • • Support planning and coordination of programme-related tasks, including context analysis, research, data compilation and analysis, support country programmes, and development of case studies and learning briefs. Assist in planning and coordination of public events, webinars, meetings, workshops, seminars etc., including practical preparations, participant communication, background materials, and follow-up. • • Support documentation and follow-up from meetings, workshops, events, webinars, and internal learning processes, including drafting notes, short summaries, and key takeaways. Contribute to the development of simple communication and knowledge-sharing materials, such as LinkedIn posts, short website or intranet stories, case stories, event summaries, and other light written content related to programme and thematic work. • Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to ongoing work. Page 1 af 3 We are looking for an Intern with the following profile • • • Enrolled in a relevant higher education programme at the bachelor’s or master’s level Communicate well in English, both orally and in writing. Danish is not a requirement. Strong interest in international and humanitarian work, and motivation to learn about ADRA Denmark’s strategic priorities, including humanitarian preparedness and response, climate adaptation/sustainable agriculture and livelihoods, women and children’s rights, peacebuilding, social cohesion and civil society strengthening. Previous knowledge of these themes is an advantage, but not a requirement. • • • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Forms, and Teams. Systematic and structured mindset with a positive, solution-oriented approach Open-minded, strong intercultural understanding, and good collaboration skills We offer: As an intern at ADRA Denmark, you will be part of a professional and supportive team. You will have opportunities to receive feedback and guidance from a dedicated contact person. The position is based at ADRA Denmark’s office in Nærum. The internship is full-time (37 hours per week), with working hours from Monday to Thursdays 8:00–16:00, and 8:00 – 13:00 on Fridays, (where we all work from home). Normally, there is an option to work Wednesdays from home as well. The internship is set to begin around late August/early September 2026, or slightly earlier, depending on what is compatible with your academic schedule. Please note that the internship is unpaid. Therefore, it is a requirement that you are eligible to receive educational support during the internship period.
