A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic Submodules and Technology team as a part-time student worker, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the manufacturing process of wind turbine blades. Imagine developing advanced data-driven tools that not only track blade production but also analyze images for defects using AI and machine learning. Engage with engineering teams to gather user requirements, ensuring that your software application meets the needs of our root cause analysis system. Your contributions will directly support our mission of driving innovation in the energy sector, making a tangible impact on sustainability and efficiency.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design and develop a software application to track the lifecycle of casted blades through the manufacturing process.
- Implement a system for collecting early feedback on blade quality, linking this data to production parameters for effective root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand user requirements, ensuring the tool aligns with the needs of the RCA system.
- Maintain and iterate on the application based on user feedback and evolving project requirements.
- Assist in developing an AI/machine learning solution to analyze images of green blades, training models to identify and classify manufacturing root causes.
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Practical experience in software development and/or data analysis, demonstrated through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, with a keen interest in applying machine learning to real-world engineering challenges.
- Skilled in database management and foundational understanding of machine learning and computer vision.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, collaboration skills, and effective communication.
