About the Department
The DSO department is responsible for global outsourcing of drug substances at Novo Nordisk. We collaborate closely with contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) and internal stakeholders to ensure a stable and reliable supply, high quality, competitive cost structures, and strong, long-term partnerships.
Together with our stakeholders, we drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
The Position
As an intern in DSO, you will support day-to-day operations and contribute to key supply chain and sourcing activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting data management and contributing to workflow optimisation
- Assisting in the preparation of tenders, cost analyses, and business cases
- Supporting contract preparation and signature workflows
- Assisting category managers in cross-functional sourcing and development projects
- Preparing presentations and materials for stakeholder meetings, decision-making, and supplier interactions
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation and documentation updates
You will work with a broad range of stakeholders across Global Manufacturing & Supply, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing Development, GSOD, and external CMOs worldwide.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Materials Science, or a related field
- Is structured, analytical, and eager to learn about supply chain operations and strategic sourcing
- Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with an interest in working with data
- Communicates effectively and demonstrates strong stakeholder awareness
- Is proactive, collaborative, and motivated to contribute to team objectives
- Is fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Has experience with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with dashboards or procurement tools is considered an advantage
Practical Information
- Start date: As soon as possible, and no later than 1 September 2026
- Duration: 6 months
- Working hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), with flexibility during exam periods
- Location: Høje Taastrup, Denmark
- The internship is paid
- A valid Danish work permit is required for non-EU applicants
