Are you passionate about ethics, compliance, and responsible business? Do you want to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of law, business, and digital transformation in a global healthcare company? Join Novo Nordisk's Business Ethics & Compliance Office as a Compliance Intern and help support compliance across Corporate Procurement while developing valuable professional skills in an international environment.
Your new role
As a Compliance Intern, you will become part of the Business Ethics & Compliance Office's Business Partnering team, supporting Corporate Procurement with E&C-related support at Novo Nordisk headquarters in Bagsværd. You will work closely with experienced compliance professionals and collaborate with colleagues across Legal & Compliance, Corporate Procurement, Group Internal Audit, and other business functions.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience with compliance advisory, governance, data analysis, and process optimisation while contributing to a strong culture of integrity and responsible business conduct. You will be trusted with meaningful responsibilities from day one and encouraged to take ownership, bring new ideas, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting compliance advisory by responding to procurement compliance inquiries and assisting with topics such as business ethics, third-party risk management, data protection, information security, AI governance, and procurement policies
- Assisting with compliance reviews of supplier contracts and engagements by helping identify compliance requirements and supporting stakeholders throughout contracting processes
- Monitoring mandatory training compliance, maintaining reporting, and supporting governance activities to ensure employees complete required learning
- Analysing compliance data and developing reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to provide insights for management and support informed decision-making
- Contributing to process improvement, digitalisation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives by helping optimise compliance processes, maintaining guidance materials, and supporting collaboration across Corporate Procurement, Legal, and Compliance
Your new department
In Finance, Legal & Global Solutions, we enable Novo Nordisk to fulfil our purpose by safeguarding the business, providing corporate infrastructure, and driving value creation. We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.
Within this area, you will join the Business Ethics & Compliance Office (BECO), part of Business Assurance & Compliance, where we safeguard Novo Nordisk's integrity and support sustainable business growth. BECO partners with Corporate Procurement to strengthen ethical decision-making, compliance, and responsible business practices across our global procurement organisation – covering topics from data protection and information security to third-party risk management and emerging regulations such as AI governance. You will join a collaborative and international team where knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement are integral to how we work, and where your ideas will be welcomed from day one.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious and motivated student who enjoys solving complex challenges, collaborating with others, and learning in a fast-paced international environment. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and are eager to contribute to meaningful work that supports Novo Nordisk's commitment to ethical business practices. To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
- Are currently pursuing a master's degree in Law, Commercial Law, Business Administration, or another relevant discipline
- Have relevant experience through internships, student jobs, extracurricular activities, or similar alongside your studies
- Have strong analytical skills and an interest in compliance, governance, procurement, or risk management, with experience using Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
- Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken – additional language skills are considered an advantage
- Are proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn, with a structured approach to your work and a mindset aligned with the Novo Nordisk Way
