Want to help shape Denmark’s next technology breakthroughs? Join EIFO as a Student Analyst

EIFO - Danmarks Eksport- og Investeringsfond

The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) is looking for a curious and engaged Student Analyst with an interest in entrepreneurship and new technologies, and how capital can help scale the next generation of companies. You do not need prior investment experience – we are especially interested in students who bring analytical strength, technical curiosity and strong motivation to learn. As part of our Frontier Tech Investments team, you will help identify, qualify, and select deep-tech investment opportunities, while also supporting process-related workflows where needed.

Join investing in Denmark’s next big breakthroughs

At EIFO, we invest to shape Denmark's future. Our mission is to drive growth and innovation by providing long-term capital to startups, scaleups, and growth companies. Deploying more than 1 billion DKK annually, EIFO plays a key role in scaling these companies.

In the Frontier Tech Investments team, we invest in companies based on a dual bottom line: delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns while creating a meaningful societal impact. This is done by deploying capital in key areas including Green Tech, BioSolutions, Defense, AI, and Quantum.

The Frontier Tech Investments team consists of 11 experienced colleagues with diverse backgrounds, responsibilities, and perspectives, united by a shared ambition to be one of Denmark’s leading early-stage investment teams. We value team spirit and a positive tone in the office where questions are always welcome, even when things move at a fast pace. You will be trusted with your own tasks and supported in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality work.

Your role

At its core, the role is about helping to generate and qualify investment opportunities in close collaboration with the team’s investment professionals. The role also includes process-related responsibilities aimed at improving ways of working and providing much-needed structure and insight.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and managing parts of our inbound investment pipeline
  • Screening and analyzing the suitability of identified investment opportunities
  • Helping assess technology-driven companies by combining market, technical, and commercial perspectives
  • Participating in founder meetings and supporting investment assessments
  • Supporting due diligence work and preparation related to investment terms and agreements

In addition, you will support process-related workflows, including:

  • Managing monthly updates of investment reports
  • Assisting with the development of internal workflows when needed
  • Supporting internal process projects when needed

The workload will be approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your studies.

Who you are

You may be well suited for this role if you:

  • Are pursuing a degree in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, business, economics, or a related field, preferably with at least one year remaining in your studies
  • Are curious about startups, technology, innovation, and investment
  • Enjoy analytical work and learning about new sectors and technologies
  • Can communicate clear and thoughtful perspectives based on sound assessment
  • Are structured, detail-oriented, and motivated by contributing to a collaborative team

Why join EIFO?

You will have the opportunity to join an organization committed to shaping the future of Danish business. In this role, you will help create real value for some of Denmark’s most promising companies across key sectors.

You’ll get:

  • First-hand experience inside a mission-driven sovereign investment fund at the heart of Denmark’s innovation ecosystem
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals and gain exposure to sectors such as Deep Tech, Life Sciences, Defense, and Green Transition
  • Attractive conditions, flexibility to accommodate your studies and an informal working culture with room to take initiative and grow
  • Professional development in a collaborative and supportive environment that values initiative and curiosity

Are you our next colleague?

If you're excited about technology, innovation, and the opportunity to contribute to a team that invests in Denmark's future, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV, academic transcripts, and a short personal motivation letter written in your own words, no later than July 24th, 2026. Applications will be reviewed and interviews conducted on an ongoing basis.

The recruitment process includes two interview rounds, with a case study assignment in the second round.

For further information, please contact Valdemar Baungaard Engel, Investment Manager, at [email protected].

EIFO encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply. We look forward to hearing from you.
